Choose an email tool
Which tool matches your file?
Start with the format you have. A saved email, an Outlook message and a mailbox archive use different structures, even when they contain similar content. Changing the filename extension does not convert the file.
| File or text | Choose this tool | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| .eml | EML to PDF | Keep a readable copy of your email. |
| .msg | MSG to PDF | Save an Outlook email as a readable PDF. |
| .mbox | MBOX to PDF | Save a selected range of archive emails in one PDF. |
| winmail.dat | Winmail.dat opener | Extract files packed inside Outlook winmail.dat. |
| Quoted-printable text | Quoted-printable decoder | Decode =XX bytes, Unicode text, and soft line breaks. |
Choose the copy you want to keep
PDF is a paginated visual copy; its text is image-based and cannot be selected or searched. PNG and JPG save the rendered message as a full-length image. HTML keeps selectable text and supported embedded pictures in a standalone web page. Attached files are downloaded separately from all four formats.
Keep the source EML, MSG or MBOX when you need the original stored message data. Readable exports are useful for sharing and reference, but they do not replace the source file for later inspection or mailbox import.
How local email processing works
The tools read selected files in your browser. There is no file upload, account or inbox connection. Message previews block remote images and active content. The fictional samples let you try the tools before opening your own email.
File tools accept one input up to 25 MB. MBOX archives also have a 500-message limit. Individual tools explain their format and export limits before you choose a download. See file handling and privacy details.
