Extract Email Addresses from Text

Paste text, extract common email addresses and save a deduplicated list as TXT or CSV.

How it works

How to extract emails from text

Paste the text you already have and choose Extract addresses. Exact duplicate removal is the default; select the case option when you want differently capitalized addresses merged. The output keeps the first spelling and source order.

  1. Paste text containing email addresses.
  2. Choose whether duplicate removal should ignore letter case.
  3. Review the list and download TXT or CSV.

Extraction is not address verification

The extractor recognizes common ASCII addresses with a dotted domain. It does not fetch websites, inspect your inbox, contact mail servers or test whether an address exists. Internationalized addresses, quoted local parts and obfuscated text may need manual handling.

Exact matching preserves differently capitalized local parts. Case-insensitive matching is an explicit option. CSV output uses a single email column and guards leading spreadsheet-formula characters; TXT preserves the address text. Very large inputs or result lists are rejected rather than silently truncated.

Paste the example below. Exact matching returns two addresses because the capitalized local part is kept separate. Enable the option to ignore letter case and run extraction again: one address remains, using the spelling that appeared first.

The result follows source order, not alphabetical order. Review it before importing it into another application. Extracting an address does not establish ownership, deliverability or permission to contact its owner.

Exact matching: 2 results. Ignore letter case: 1 result, [email protected].

Missing addresses and spreadsheet exports

Text such as name [at] example [dot] com is deliberately not expanded. Quoted local parts and internationalized addresses are outside the matching scope. Check the original text when an expected address is absent, rather than assuming the list is complete.

Choose TXT for one unchanged address per line. CSV has an email column and prefixes potentially formula-like values for spreadsheet safety. If your import requires exact address bytes, use TXT. Split an input that exceeds the displayed limit into smaller sections.

Email extraction questions

Does the tool check deliverability?

No. An extracted string is only a matching address pattern, not proof of a working mailbox or ownership.

Are duplicates removed automatically?

Identical spellings are deduplicated. You can also opt into case-insensitive deduplication; the first spelling is kept.

Does my data leave my device?

Your selected files and pasted text are processed in your browser, without being uploaded to EMLKit. Remove the input or leave the page to clear the current workspace. Ordinary page requests still reach the site host. Read about file handling.
